Great Lakes Stampede 24th annual car show

 Greetings, Mustang and Ford Fans!
We welcome and invite you to our 24th Annual All Ford and Mustang Car Show, the Great Lakes Stampede, coming this May.
After many requests, we’ve moved the show to Saturday for the first time, and hope that proves to be a better day for you, too. All the details are provided on the attached show flyer. You can print it and mail it to us anytime before May 12th, or, you can go to our web site, www.mustangclubmidmichigan.com, and register on line using a credit card through PayPal (you don’t have to be a member of PayPal).
Your attendance helps support the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund, a great, Michigan charity that supports veterans and their families. We gladly donated $2,060.00 last year to this non-profit organization where 97% of their income goes back to support veterans right here in Michigan.
Hope to see you and your Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, or other Ford product when you come over on Saturday, May 19th for a great time in Birch Run.

2019 Bullitt Mustang Commercial

As usual the Ford Motor Company did an outstanding job at the 2018 Detroit auto show. One of their party pieces was the ability to insert yourself into the new bullitt Mustang commercial. I, of course seized that opportunity and the following is the outcome. Enjoy!

CAM Color Cruise 10/7/17

CAM fall color cruise photo

CAM color cruise Oct. 7, 2017.
We have something really special planned for this year’s Color cruise.
Well be taking in the sights and sounds of the historic Ford Piquette Ave. plant. The birthplace of the Model T.
Group rate is $8.00 each.

We need to get an early start because we’ll be traveling the back roads to the Detroit area.

Here is a link and the details: http://www.fordpiquetteavenueplant.org/#

We meet at 7:30 am at Aggie Mae’s Bakery/Biggby parking lot on Charlevoix in Grand Ledge. There is plenty of parking there at that time in the morning, and those that need quick breakfast or coffee can help themselves. I know this sounds early. I thought if we say 7:30, we can get out of there by 8:15 . If people want to do breakfast at home, they can just arrive closer to 8. Sara (curator at the Piquette Plant) says its best if we can arrive for tour by late morning, hence the early start time.

We drive the “back roads” to Ford Piquette. This is only about 100 miles but will take about 2 hours and 45 minutes. We’ll primarily cruise on Grand River, M-59, and Woodward. There will be traffic lights but this should be a nice “Scenic” route compared to the expressway. Here’s a map: https://www.google.com/…/data=!4m16!4m15!1m5!1m1!1s0x8822bd…
We arrive at Piquette around 11AM for our tour.

Then for lunch:

Here is a place I have in mind for lunch: http://vinsettagarage.com/ It is right up Woodward in Royal Oak. The menu looks great, good reviews, and seems like a very cool place for a car club outing! I just called and spoke with a host. He said they have a parking lot behind them and kitty corner across from them. They also encourage cool cars to park out front. He also mentioned a meeting/back room. Not sure we qualify for room with separate checks but he gave me the managers email address so I can contact her about it.

After lunch you are welcome to cruise back roads home or hop on the expressway. Which ever you prefer.
Should be a great time. We’ll review this at our next CAM meeting the 4th of October.
